Go Home

from an anonymous oceangram~
Haven't seen my father in four years, because I ran away, but I don't want to go back because he wouldn't judge me. He would take me back with open arms and I don't think I can live with that.
---

Go home. Talk to your father. Tell him what you can and can't live without and how you feel. And, listen to his side of the story too. Parents often offer unconditional love. The key is go home and talk, talk, talk. If something happens to your dad before you see him again, can you live with that?
---
Call your Dad now, then get home as quickly as possible! I can't even imagine what it would have been like if my daughter had ran away. We do talk a lot now and she told me she had planned to run away from home. We have a really good relationship now and can talk about anything. Please, please go home!!
---
I as a parent, can't imagine not knowing what has happened to my child. In the least, let them know you're okay, that you wish to continue your relationship, but maybe not on the same level. Not knowing is an terrible feeling, as I'm sure you recognize, that not knowing what's up in his life is bothering you as well.
Hope this bottle makes it back to you, and you make it back home.

Posts like this make it worth while going thru all the non-sensical ones. Thank you for sharing. Solocuriosa

You're welcome. (Thanks, Lynn, for finding it.)

I agree, these oceangrams make it worthwhile. And people do give such good advice. I hope this girl or boy can see this post and find their way home, but if not, maybe another child will be helped.
